Digital Roads is known for innovative system designs that incorporate a wide range of technologies. We routinely utilize products and software that come to us from three diverse industries – Professional Audiovisual, Information Technology and Security.
Our partnership with SVI Trucks spans more than 14 years. Our design build work manufacturing command and control emergency response vehicles may be the best example of this blended technology approach to system design. The vehicles typically include surveillance cameras that can extend 30 feet in the air and spin 360 degrees to provide a “birds eye view” of the scene. They also utilize traditional electronic white boards and digital video recording to capture witness depositions while still on scene. A traditional AV based AMX control system provides the user interface for all on-board technology.

Digital Interview – Forensic Depositions and Clinical Training
These systems were originally designed in conjunction with Lieutenant John Priest of the Denver Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Division. These systems are designed to record the clinical/forensic interview in its entirety along with any annotations or interactions with digital images as required. There are currently five systems in use at Denver’s Police Headquarters.
Where art therapy is a component of the interview, typically interviews with children, cameras will also capture these annotations. These drawings can then be displayed as a composite image along with the interview for presentation in court.
These digital multi-camera interview systems have been installed into a number of local judicial and social services location. These include: Wolf Law School, Denver’s Family Crisis Center, Denver Child Advocacy Center, Denver Gang Unit, Colorado Springs Police Department, El Paso County Sherriff Office, El Paso County District Attorney’s Office, Arvada Child Advocacy, Arvada Police Department and the Boulder Police Department.
Over the years the technology has greatly improved allowing enhancements to the original system performance along with significant cost savings.
